Christmas Stamp Cookies
Ingredients
1 1/3 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter (do not substitute margarine or crisco) 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
Stir together flour, cardamom, cinnamon and salt. In a small mixer bowl, beat butter till softened. Add brwn sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Stir in flour until well mixed. Cover and chill bout 2 hours or until easy to handle. Shape into 3/4-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Flatten firmly with floured cookie stamp. Bake at 350° F. for 8 minutes or untnil done. Remove and cool. Makes approximately 90 cookies.
