Ichthys or Ikhthus (Greek: ἰχθύς,
capitalized ΙΧΘΥΣ or ΙΧΘΥC) is the ancient and classical Greek word for
"fish." In English it refers to a symbol consisting of two
intersecting arcs, the ends of the right side extending beyond the
meeting point so as to resemble the profile of a fish, said to have
been used by early Christians as a secret symbol and now known
colloquially as the "sign of the fish" or the "Jesus fish."

Why the Ichthus is on our Website
We
are proud to be Christians, followers of the Lord Jesus, the Christ,
the King of kings, the Son of the living God, Who took the sins of the
world on His shoulders when He was crucified on the cross, and paid our
ransom in full when He conquered death by His resurrection. We commit
our work to God for His glory and praise. We are thankful to have had
so many years of such a fun product to make and sell and such wonderful
customers who've been very loyal and kind.

It
breaks our hearts that so many Americans deny or have forgotten this
nation's Judeo-Christian heritage. A recent survey says most people
under age 35 in the UK have never even heard of the King James Bible
(and it's their king who had it translated). For decades, some of our
leaders have been trying to change the US to be just like the largely
atheist and socialist countries in Europe and the UK, no longer the
America Robin and I remember 60+ years ago where most everyone believed
in God and attended church or temple every week. America was a godly
nation with the majority of its people teaching their children to
behave in accordance with The Ten Commandments found in the Jewish Torah (the Christian Bible's Old Testament). Nowadays
atheists are so emboldened by our decadent culture that they put up
billboards blaspheming God and mocking the beliefs of Christianity as a
myth. For decades Hollywood films have depicted Christians as nerds and
weaklings, using religion as a crutch, unable to think and reason like the sophisticated and superior intellectuals who reject all things God.
We were criticized for the first paragraph above appearing on our website when we launched cookiestamp.com (posted 11/16/09) – it isn't politically correct to
express faith in God these days, but it is PC to insult the person of
Jesus Christ and those of us who believe He is the Son of God, known as
Christians, especially in elite liberal circles, the mainstream media,
Hollywood, and academia. Christians are being persecuted more and more
openly here in America! AMERICA! Powerful forces have emerged who
endeavor to remove Christ from Christmas, which is incredible
considering the very word "Christmas" denotes a mass (a church service)
honoring and celebrating the birth of Christ. There would be no
Christmas at all if Christ had never been born.
As a
consequence, we are emboldened to add this link for those of you who
have never even heard of Jesus of Nazareth, let alone the King James
Bible, or those who don't know the story of Christ, while we still have the freedom to express our beliefs and opinions out loud. Click here to see The Jesus Film in your own language, wherever you are in the world! We strike one blow for our God and Creator of this universe and the planet on which we live. Praise be His name!
May God bless you all, and God bless America.

THE DEFINITIVE FILM ON THE LIFE OF CHRIST!, August 3, 2002
This review is from: Jesus of Nazareth (DVD)
After more than two decades, JESUS OF NAZARETH remains the greatest
motion picture on the life of Jesus Christ -unsurpassed and
second-to-none. Beautifully directed by Franco Zeffirelli (best known
for his 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet) and featuring a constellation
of the greatest international actors: Sir Lawrence Olivier, Rod Steiger,
Anne Bancroft, Ernest Borgnine, James Earl Jones, Anthony Quinn (among
others, oh my!), this six-hour magnum opus has given flesh and humanity
to the people and events of the Gospel narratives like no other movie
before or since.
The film begins with the events prior to the
Anunciation and Nativity, through the life of Christ, leading up to the
Crucifixion and Resurrection, from Joseph's betrothal to Mary (played by
Olivia Hussey, best known for her role as Juliet in the aforementioned
film.) to the Empty Tomb on Easter Sunday. First-rate production allows
us to observe with great detail the customs and daily life in
first-century Judaea. The backdrop of Roman oppression and Jewish
discontent is masterfully shown and successfully correlated to Jesus'
ministry, in particular the political maneuvering of the cunning Herod
(wondrously played by Peter Ustinov) and its effects on messianic
expectation. Many persons mentioned only in passing or alluded to in the
gospels such as Caiaphas and Pontius Pilate are portrayed with great
credibility, allowing us to understand the historical figures' motives
and intentions more fully.
Among the numerous superlative
performances, surely the most notable is that of Robert Powell in his
role as the Nazarene, whose performance subtly captures the humanity of
the Son of God, neither adding human weakness where none is present
(vis-a-vis The Last Temptation of Christ), nor resorting to docetic
immutability (Greatest Story Ever Told). Indeed, one senses that Jesus
is fully aware of who He is in this film.
In terms of scope,
detail and production, this film is a must-see, setting a standard of
excellence which unfortunately has not been met since. JESUS OF NAZARETH
makes for great viewing not only for the seasoned Christian but for
seekers and those interested in an intelligent approach to the life of
Christ. SUPERB.

Re: 2012 and the "END TIMES"
So many people are afraid of what is going to happen next in this all-of-a-sudden very-uncertain world and wondering about not only all the doomsday predictions but also the "End Times" prophecies found in the Bible both in the Old (Jewish Torah) Testament as well as the New Testament.
HOPE I happened to read these Scriptures this morning and realized there are many people, like me, who need to hear God's promises that are found in the passages that say "the TIME is COMING...."
