**20 Scandinavian Cookies - Pfefferneusse
(not for use with cookie stamps)

1 pound dark broun sugar
3 well-beaten eggs
2 tablespoons molasses

Sift together and add:
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups flour
Have ready:
1 pound whole walnut meats, cut in half lengthwise


Knead dough, adding more flour as needed. Cut off 1-inch cubes of dough; form each around half a walnut meat. Place cookies on sheets and cool overnight. Bake 15 minutes at 375° F.
