**20 Scandinavian Cookies - Sot Hjarta
Sot Hjarta
(for use with cookie stamps)

1 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Add and beat until fluffy:
1 egg
Mix in:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda


Roll into small balls and criss-cross tops with fork dipped in sugar [or cookie stamp dipped in sugar], or press a blanched almond into each. Bake at 350° F. for 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
