2 paper castings* -
#057 - Butterfly  OR #1048 - Butterfly (see Basic Paper Casting Instructions)
Clear acrylic varnish
Paint and Glue

*Note:  Alternately, the casting for this project may be made from clay instead of paper (see Basic Clay Casting Instructions). The choice is yours.

Note: You can substitute Import design #1048 - Butterfly for Heirloom design #057 (pictured).

Instructions:
1.  Cut out the 2 butterflies from the paper castings and varnish all sides and edges. Let dry.
2.  Place the wire horizontally on the backside of 1 butterfly. Carefully place glue around the edges of the back, being careful not to get glue on the wire. Attach the 2nd butterfly, backs together.
3.  When glue is dry, remove the wire and you’ll find a little tunnel just right for inserting your beading needle.
4.  Apply paint and let dry.
5.  Working on 1 side at a time, apply varnish and while it is still wet, sprinkle on the glitter. Let dry.
6.  Varnish again to seal in the glitter. Let dry.
